“Uniting to Provide Housing”

MARC unites with multiple charities, adding to Madison County’s safety net

Madison County community partners have joined forces to purchase a park model home on wheels for families displaced from Hurricane Helene. The housing unit will provide safe, temporary housing for survivors, free of charge.

Built by Green River Log Cabins in South Carolina, the housing unit will first be utilized by MARC to house families displaced by Hurricane Helene. Once the need to house families displaced from the hurricane no longer exists, the unit will return to CHC’s inventory, where it will serve as transitional housing for other Madison County residents in need, particularly those temporarily displaced while critical home repairs are completed by the organization. “Even after the last storm survivor moves out, this home will remain part of our community’s safety net,” said Daria.
